As I approach semi-retirement in 2024, I’m clearing the decks a bit. I sent two book manuscripts to the publishers in November.
The first, After Neoliberalism, is a collection of articles going back to the 1980s, covering the rise and decline of neoliberalism (aka economic rationalism, market liberalism etc), with some hopes for the future.
The second, Public Policy and Climate Change is an annotated set of lecture slides from the Politics, Philosophy and Economics course I’ve been teaching for the last few years. Hopefully out in time for my successor to make use of it next year.
Apart from that, I’ve kept busy with presentations, opinion pieces and electronic media, as well as social media like Substack, Mastodon and Bluesky. I keep my Twitter account open to prevent hijacking, and check it from time to time, but no longer post or comment there.
